About

My craft is clarity. 🛠️ I’m a translator at heart who loves to play with words and code.

In my current role as a Staff Technical Writer at Netlify, I develop information to guide developers and cross-functional teams through workflows spanning an in-app UI experience, API, third-party tools, the terminal, and beyond.

I’m also experimenting with practical applications of using AI agents and AI tools.

Before Netlify, I worked at GitHub as a Product Help Content writer and Ecosystem writer.

How I got here

My curiosity has led me to the intersections of words, code, and helping people.

I was working at a public library when I read a book about code as the new literacy and started my journey learning to code through open source communities at local meetups. I joined an open source contributor training sponsored by Mozilla called the Ascend Project.

From there, I got involved with Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) and found I love helping people with clear information, smooth experiences, and tech designed for collaboration and good. Since then, I’ve found myself at the intersections of words, code, and helping people, my sweet spot.

Before Tech

Before I got into tech I did the following:

  • worked at a local public library
  • translated Russian subtitles into English for a nature documentary
  • got accepted to an Applied Linguistics Master’s program
  • worked at international exchange non-profits that served adults and young people
  • taught English as a Foreign Language and U.S. American poetry at the Volzhsky Institute of Humanities to Russian college students
  • studied Russian Art History at the Volzhsky Institute of Humanities
  • tutored adult students in ESL (English as a Second Language)
  • gave our non-profit’s System Administrator a cupcake on SysAdmin day (without knowing it was SysAdmin day 😆)
